Improved Web UI: More Control Over Formatting and Editing

The configuration of the TinyMCE editor has also been optimized: Attributes of the SimpleHtml type can now be configured to allow only specific functions such as tables, lists, or superscript and subscript. Additionally, allowed paragraph styles can be configured at the attribute level to ensure a consistent layout.

More Efficient Work with Templates and Improved Search

NovaDB 3.2 simplifies the object creation process with the new value template feature. Users can save values entered in a creation dialog as personal templates and reuse them the next time. This function saves time and ensures a consistent data structure.

The improved object search ensures that search results are available faster. The search starts immediately with any change in the form without blocking it. The last search result remains visible until a new query is successfully completed. Additionally, the search form remains editable at all times, even while a search is running.

New Features for Job and Workflow Management

  • A new StylesCssUrl property ensures uniform CSS formatting.
  • This CSS formatting is automatically applied during PDF publishing.
  • External publishing solutions such as IPUB for Word, InDesign, or FrameMaker also benefit from improved style definitions through NovaDB style integration.

The InDesign integration has also been expanded: SimpleHtml and Razor Views now support paragraph style names, which are synchronized with NovaDB's internal styles.
